Want to take in that skirt? Pair of pants you’ve been meaning to hem? Need to add a patch to your favorite jacket?

Come to the Mending and Repair circle! Repair your clothes with the tools from our library with the assistance of the community. Sewing machines, fabric, and thread will be available for use. Mending club is an open format. Come bring your projects to work on and hangout, chat, and our facilitator will be happy to answer any sewing related questions. Have no idea where to start or have no sewing experience at all? Don’t worry! We will be happy to get you started on your sewing/mending journey.

Sewing 101 @ Sustainable Capitol Hill Tool Library
Dec 18 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Sewing 101 @ Sustainable Capitol Hill Tool Library

Come by for a two-hour basic intro to machine sewing! Learn the anatomy of a sewing machine, basic troubleshooting, and practice sewing. You can bring your own sewing machine if you would like, but there will also be tool library sewing machines available for use.

This is a recurring class! If you have attended a prior Sewing 101, please consider Sewing 201 instead.

Due to overwhelming interest, we ask that you RSVP on our Meetup event here. If the event is full or the time doesn’t work for you, have no fear, we will host this event again soon due to community interest!
