Ever wanted a really specific tool or gizmo, but can’t find it? In this class, we’ll explore how to do basic 3D modeling using the free program Fusion 360.
With the knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), and access to the 3D printer and other tools in the tool library, you can design and bring to reality almost anything you can think of! CAD is an essential skill for 3D printing, but you can also use it to design other projects, like woodworking.
To get the most out of this class, we recommend bringing your own laptop and downloading the free “personal use” edition of Fusion 360 beforehand (installation guide), if possible. Also bring your ideas for relatively simple objects you’d like to create!
We ask that you please RSVP for this free event on Meetup here – all are welcome to attend and learn. No prior experience in 3D modeling or printing needed, though if you’ve used a tool like SketchUp before, you’ll likely find that your skills translate well.
