Sewing Workshop @ Capitol Hill Tool Library | Seattle | Washington | United States

Got a sewing project that’s stalled? Not sure how to hem up your pants? Want to make a shopping bag? Come out to our sewing workshop. We’ll cover some basic sewing techniques, then leave lots of time to work on your project and get some guidance.

Bring your own (if you can) machine, scissors, needle, buttons, neutral colored thread, and clothes to repair. It’s okay if you can’t bring these things, you’ll just team up with someone else.

Covering the simple stitch, hand basting, machine terminology, setup & cleaning, pins & marking, ironing, and talking about patches as well as embroidering.

We’ll also ask what kinds of other things people would like to learn in future classes.

(And I’ll bring a towel for the iron!)
